Candidate for City of Scottsboro Mayor (Incumbent)

I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you who have supported me during my current term as your mayor. I can truthfully say these last 4 years have been one of the most fulfilling times in my life. I have done my best to serve you in the most fair and caring way I can. Though I know it is not always possible to make every single person happy I can promise you I have always tried to do what is right and what is best for all our citizens. Next, I want to thank all of you who have asked for signs, shirts and cards. Again, I have been overwhelmed by the phone calls, donations, offers of support, and prayers that have come our way. Being your mayor is something I have wanted to do for many years and I am so very thankful you gave me that opportunity in 2016. I humbly ask that you allow me to continue my service to you. We have accomplished a lot in the last 4 years including the installation of two Community Storm Shelters with plans for a third in the next few months Streetscape Grants/Main Street Alabama for downtown Scottsboro Municipal Airport Grants for runway turnaround, LED runway lighting, new T-Hanger, and drainage improvements School Resource Officer funding in partnership with Scottsboro Board of Education and Scottsboro Water, Sewer and Gas Goose Pond Colony Grants for boat ramp expansion, walking trail extension and additional parking Road paving – including Clemons Road, Forrest, Dean, David, Brown, Beech, Harley, Cecil, Cotton, Garden, LeQuire, Bob Circle, Parks Avenue and Cloverdale Recycling Grants for supplies, collection trailers, vehicle and baler Demolition Grant for removing 25 abandoned/blighted structures Equipment/Vehicle upgrades – SPD, Street Department, Sanitation Department and Landfill, etc. I still have so many things I want to do and changes that I want to see happen so that we can make Scottsboro a city you can be even prouder to call your hometown. I also welcome any thoughts, ideas or concerns that you may have. I strongly believe that I have the knowledge, skills, experience and proven leadership needed to lead our great city forward. Please feel free to message, email or call me at anytime because it will take all of us working together to make Scottsboro even better.
